I have a big sister and a little sister.
That makes me the middlest sister!
My big sister is special because she's the biggest.
She goes to school. She can read. She can tell time.
Those are pretty tricky things she can do!
Some day, very soon, I'll be able to
do those things too
because I'm getting bigger!
My little sister is special because she's the littlest
She's just a baby.
She is so cute and she's just learning how to crawl!
She needs help eating, and needs to be held a lot.
She doesn't even talk right!
I can't understand a word she says.
I was once a baby, but not anymore.
Now I'm bigger.
I'm special because I'm the middlest
When you're the middlest there's lots of things you can do.
I can help my little sister when my big sister is at school
I can play at the park when my little sister is asleep
The middlest is quite versatile! (That means I do big things and little things)
When we build blocks, I can build a pretty good tower
My biggest sister builds the biggest tower. (Duh!)
I can build a pretty good one too.
My little sister, well, she doesn't even know what a tower is!
My biggest sister likes to tell me what to do
But she is not the boss of me.
But my little sister loves it when I tell her how to play with my teacups
Being the middlest can be hard sometimes.
Sometimes my parents need to help my biggest sister with homework.
Sometimes my parents need to quiet my littlest sister when she's fussy.
Sometimes the middlest sister can feel lonely, or not important.
That can make me sad.
But I remember that once I was a baby.
I used to cry a lot and my parents would help me.
And one day, I'll get to do homework too!
I know my parents can't wait to help me do it!
My parents love me very much.
My mom thanks me for helping out with my little sister.
My dad thanks me for coming with him to my biggest sister's soccer game
Then when they all come to my dance recital
My mom and dad thank my biggest and littlest sisters for coming and watching me.
My familiy sure is glad they have a middlest sister!
